DACHSER has connected its Iberian subsidiary Azkar Group to its European road network. As a result, DACHSER Spain and DACHSER Portugal are now the names of the international transport companies that work there. This renaming is the last step in the integration process, which began when DACHSER bought Azkar in January 2013. Since 2007, the two companies have been working together. The next year, DACHSER purchased a 10% stake in its partner in Spain.

Since the purchase, DACHSER has made it easier for its groups in Spain and Portugal to work with the rest of its European network. There are now 130 daily import and export lines, up from 70 in 2013. When the merger is over, there will be a rebranding. From now on, the country subsidiaries will be known as DACHSER Spain and DACHSER Portugal. Their success is based on the DACHSER network, and they are now in a whole different league than they were four years ago. Five offices already have blue and yellow decor: those in Barcelona, Bilbao, Malaga, Porto, and Valencia. The rest will be done by 2020. Over 70% of the 2,000 short-haul cars on the road today already have the DACHSER logo on them.

Since DACHSER is one of the biggest logistics companies on the Iberian Peninsula, it is positioning itself as an export-focused one-stop shop for all logistics needs. This includes groupage and full-truck-load transports, warehousing, value-added services, and the Iberian business-to-business parcel business.
