The Kane Family Legacy

Since 1918 the Kane Family has been in the trucking, storage, office moving, limo and bus service, industrial real estate and building business. Eugene I. Kane started the E.I. Kane Company in 1969. It grew to offer office moving and limo/charter bus services which brought in $60MM. Richard Kane taught his son Richard about management and saw a lot of growth in ground transportation. Richard went from driving a truck to running a cab and charter bus service in Washington, DC owned by his family. He grew the business to 200 employees and 140 company owned vehicles.

Acquisition of Capitol Express

The Kane Group bought Capitol Express and Warehousing in 2021. They now have 350,000 sq ft of cross docking storage for customers who use the Baltimore Port to move containers. Their goal is to be a top logistics hub where makers, shippers, freight forwarders and freight brokers can get all their storage and trucking needs met.

Capitol Express and Warehousing has 40 trucks and 350,000 sq ft of cross dock storage. They offer full service LTL trucking and 3PL delivery. They are right in the middle of the Baltimore-Washington, D.C. region and serve Maryland, Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, Southern Pennsylvania and Northern Delaware.
