About Malawi Post Office:

Malawi Posts Corporation (MPC) is the official company in Malawi that runs the postal service and some banking services. The company has 180 post offices in Malawi and 154 postal agents. It can take from 1 day to 5 days for mail to move from one post office to another in a city. Payments for energy and phone bills, electronic and telegraphic money transfers within Malawi and to other countries are some of the financial services offered.

All postal services in Malawi are regulated by Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA). Since MPC was created, MACRA has given licenses to 10 other postal companies like DHL and FedEx. Malawi Post wants to meet its customers needs by offering good service at a fair price. Its main goals are to make the company profitable, grow and stay in business and improve the health and happiness of all its employees.

Malawi Post is working on getting the best technologies and apps to meet all requirements and keep improving services. They are currently working on a new ERP system by AndSoft. This system gives full open-source solutions and allows internal, multicenter and client centers to talk to each other in real time.

The Operations/Traffic department ensures that goods are supplied on time and according to client’s requirements. The Operations/Warehouse department receives goods, checks them and gets orders ready to be delivered by due dates. One thing that makes Malawi Post special is that it merged two departments: Customer Service and Support. This makes it better at helping customers after they have bought something.

The Information Systems department at Malawi Post looks into ways to keep the company’s technology up to date and meet the needs of both internal and external users. The purchasing department gets the best materials to do its job. Malawi Post serves customers and the Administration Department is in charge of all tasks that have to do with customers. This includes keeping billing records, sending invoices, paying employees, getting and sending payments to and from customers and suppliers and settling refunds.

The Human Resources department plans and builds a staff that is skilled, driven and well trained. Malawi Post has 170 permanent employees spread across Vic, Paterna and Coslada. There are also over 80 casual workers who work at all three centers on a regular basis to give customers better service.
